Sentimental Value

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I watched the eyelashes glissade,
from your eyes...

lacrimating upon my cheeks...
.
.
.
...why did I believe I believed,
I could perceive all you could see?
Your resonating heartbeat echos on,
sketching upon my heart,
like a trees annual rings...
.
.
.
I've given up on spring cleaning,
I'm reading proverbs that never had meaning,
you lift your coffee mug from my hearts table,
leaving a ring behind...
.
.
.
In all this discussion of eternity,
it's overwhelming...

my wishlist is incomplete...
.
.
.
...so will you be my sky pilot,
will you train me to exhale softly and dream sweetly,
we're peripatetics wandering with clouds below our knees...
.
.
.
I've given up on spring cleaning,
I'm reading proverbs that never had meaning,
you lift your coffee mug from my hearts table,
leaving a ring behind...
I'm decorating soliloquies,
I'm framing fantasies,
I'm a shepherd woolgathering,
I'm hanging onto these remnants of sentimental value...
.
.
.
.
.
.
I remember Dr. Seuss, Captain Kangaroo,
bathetic novels and songs I read to you,
if only I could collect your scent into a Yankee candle,
incense just cannot do...
.
.
.
I've given up on spring cleaning,
I'm reading proverbs that never had meaning,
you lift your coffee mug from my hearts table,
leaving a ring behind...
I'm decorating soliloquies,
I'm framing fantasies,
I'm a shepherd woolgathering,
I'm hanging onto these remnants of sentimental value...

I'm decorating soliloquies,
I'm framing fantasies,
I'm a shepherd woolgathering,
I'm hanging onto these remnants of sentimental value,
sentimental value...

Oh, dear, sadly, romantically beautiful.  I thoroughly enjoyed all the phrasings in here, but mostly, the "coffe mug ring" left behind.  HOW DESCRIPTIVE IS THAT?  Wow.  Your words are such music, and I think you can write on about any topic and make it sound melodious.

This poem of yours, I GOT, and it is so human a quality, this feeling you've described.

WAY TO GO!!!

Cheers,

McLean

What would Passions be like without Noah Eaton?
What would the world be like without Noah Eaton?

I could never dare to imagine.

What more can I say except that,
Noah... you are poetry!

Congratulations on another
amazing poem, and another
wonderful milestone!

Take Care,
Richy

Great lyrics...:-)

I especially like this stanza>

"I remember Dr. Seuss, Captain Kangaroo,
bathetic novels and songs I read to you,
if only I could collect your scent into a Yankee candle,
incense just cannot do..."

Noah~~

I really liked this, especially the line:

"if only I could collect your scent into a Yankee candle"

How romantic is that?

Congrats on 30K!!
