I've been feeling
a little
tequila in my sunrise.
Swallowing down
those liquid
red hues
that always complimented
the blues..
As the glass
starts to dry
you go and
pour it on thick
lettin' that
ice rattle
as its risin' to the top...
I'm gonna drink you
down to the last drop.
So much for sangria
on the beach and
ripe fruits on the vine,
when all you left me
with is cactus
and the worm
at the bottom
of the bottle.

fantabulous write, my friend!

I don't drink...not because I think drinking is a no-no, but because I'm allregic to something in most alcohols.  I'm good with Bacardi, though!

I saw this from two ways, and both ways work for me.

Momentary bliss and sobering realities--

nicely done, muted.

(smiles) I'm zero-tolerant on those kinds of drinks, but I'm up to a fruit punch or guava anytime, yay! (big angel hugs) This is such sweet and fanciful imagery, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dawn, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

1SL: thank you for that fabulous "amen"

gadfly: could be fun for sure (in another setting)...haha, ive never eaten the worm, tequila is harsh enough as it is without having to "chew" it!

McLean: bacardi eh? well grab the coconuts, we're doing it Malibu style!

James: thank you

serenity: thank you, and yes i suppose both ways sorta co-exist

Noah: fruit punch is just as colourful (and mighty tasty)...*hug*

vandana: thank you

Of course... they sometimes turn the blues to black. *G* I like this very much, muted... great work! *S*
