.

.

.
One more year
has passed
without the tinkle
of her laughter.
Without her
optimistic view -
that there's a
"happily ever after."
One more season
has slipped by
without her face
so full of love.
A heart too kind
for earth's abode,
Now rests somewhere
up above.
We learned to dance
and flirt with care -
not hurting other's
feelings.
How to pray and
to forgive
Throughout a lifetime's
dealings.
She taught us
far too much
to list.
Her life was a gift
unopened.
All she met with
came away
touched by
words she'd spoken.
Without her here
she still comforts
us.
Our souls are bonded
three.
And time stands still
in photo framed
My mom, my sister, and me.

Oh my goodness...is that you, the little one in the photo?  Looks just like you, dear!

Beautiful ache you have described here, and it's a pain I cannot even imagine...

A wonderful tribute, Chris.  Yes your mom is with you and Nancy Lee everyday...watching and smiling with love.  She must be very proud of both her beautiful daughters.

Chris,  they never leave us when we are
ready to say goodbye....Seems that something
was forgotten,  missed,  still needed to be
done...

But the preciousness of it all is what they
gave us before they left...all of the wonderful
memories...

Hugs Lady...

Thankyou friends. She was one special lady for sure, and not a day goes by that my sister Enchantress and I don't think of her and smile.

My dear little sister...
I know we are both feeling a multitude of emotions today.
Sadness at missing her..happiness with fond memories.
And a thankfulness that you and I have each another.
She gifted us with a joy for life, and a love of friends.
Taught us how to wink for the cameras,
gave us a love of classical music..
and a dance in our step ~ a true appreciation for the arts.
Thank you for the remember...I love you Chris.

yes, some are just too special to be stuck here, and fly home earlier than we'd like them too.....
and wow, i now see, that the two of you (u and nancy) are in one photo with your beloved mama, i now see the sweet resemblance in all of you

Oh Chris...
How blessed this gold...
For somehow, we all still feel that touch through you.

Dear Chris,
Thank you for sharing your memories and all the love that you've known.
I am sure she is smiling and keeping you close under her wings.
Isn't that just like a Mother!
I am so touched by your poem, you wrote it just beautifully.

Heart ~Hugs~ to you and your sister.

I think, among your mother's many gifts, was the one she gave to both of you  so that you still love each other.  Many adult siblings do not.  Hugs to both.  Ken

Chris there is no doubt that your mother
was a special and lovely person.

The proof lies in her two wonderful, and
and beautiful daughters.

What a loving tribute to such a remarkable lady.

I’m sure she was an amazing woman.

Blessings,
Richy

p.s.

So nice to see you again!
Love your new picture!

My sweet little friend, you have written your heart here
and it's beautiful, just like your picture
of your Mother, Nancy, and you. I am so glad
that she gifted us with you and Nancy.
With love and hugs,
Ethel

Tears for a beautiful tribute to your Mom, Chris.

Love to both you and Nancy ...
Huggles, Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.
