God Given Talent

Did you know we are all given a God given talent?
A writer of words who is the painter of the arts.
The poet, the storyteller, the playwright, the parent who in the sanctuary of home,
telling charming bedtime stories
or
silly boogie man stories.
The artist with his charcoal in hand
or
the painter carving a statue with his
chisel of steel.
Come here my children and listen to what I have to say.
I have given you this gift, the gift of words,
a way of pouring out your heart
into
the creases and darkened corners of another, bringing tears of laughter
or heart breaking tears of sadness.
Do not throw this gift into the wind,
where it is
lost in the valley of total darkness.
Do not hide because someone is slinging poisoned arrows at your God given talent,
making you want to run and hide in despair.
Raise your head high and gaze into the sun
and
smile for no one will be able to take this talent that has been given to you.
You may move on in your life and say,
“I do not wish to express or share this gift any longer.”
You are unable to rest for the need to express is like a burning ache that is searching,
digging deeper into your soul.
This gift only your heavenly Father can give is yours for the asking.
Lean on Him and He will give you strength.
Do not say, “I can't.” He will give you the power to survive
whatever comes your way.
So my children use your talent wisely, for tranquility will wash over you
and
His gift will bathe you in serenity.

Love Bon-Bon
