Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-01-25 09:22 AM

January 25, 2004

Trees are pricking
Heaven’s skies
Roads are streaming
Silver swells
Hawk is settled down
From his flight
Far and away
The church sounds bells

Oh glory in
The skies that cry
Tonight one horn
Of a buffalo moon
Will hide behind
This ghostly gray
Spring is promised,
Sounds of soon

Still the time
Of days to weeks
Carry forth in
Months to come
My face gladdens
In the rain
Deep inside, my
Heart in hum.

For this feeling
Inside my soul
Sounds of waiting,
Quiet rebirth
I would dance
Upon the brown
Soon the green
Will cover earth

In my wait
Patience, found
In my heart,
Hope rebounds
For my eyes
The gray will part
In tomorrow
A promise starts.

This is delicious!  Groundhog's day is but around the corner, for all of us who "believe"...Ha!  I bet he doesn't see his shadow this year...wishful thinking.

For weeks now, I haven't found hope, expecting the worse because it seems to find me.  Oh, I so wish those gray skies would part...where is my patience?  As you know, I had so little of it to being with.  Tomorrow...I am looking forward to the promise as the ice storms upon the pane in the now.

I believe in you and tomorrow.

I took this one to my heart, K.  Beautifully done.

Ah yes dear Karilea..
'After all tomorrow is another day'
and the clouds will part and the sun shall shine.
Much enjoyed this morning's read.
Hugs~

    In the midst of winter..
I found there lives within me,
    an invincible summer.

Oh yes, and what a slice of moon that was piercing the ink sky last night...your promise of spring warms my heart this 7* morning....~C

I love the gentle rhyme and imagry, Sunshine, and the last stanza grabbed me most.  Makes me yearn for some rain -- from the inside looking out, of course...

You had to know I would love every word and thought in this poem!

Huggles in wait .... Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.
