pudgy fingertips
sticky sweet with confections
from Heaven's kitchen

I'm having a very mommy night and feeling very blessed to have my family...healthy, happy and home with me

This instantly brought to mind moments of salt-water taffy pulling AND white divinity!  Yum!

I'm glad you enjoyed this brief one...

Ice, I'm flattered you enjoyed the arrangement so.  My heart is so full with happy because of my beautiful family.  I know everyone gets their own meaning from a read, but I wanted to write this one's origin, for me:

Pudgy fingertips (Did you ever notice how incredibly soft fat little baby fingers are?)

Sticky sweet with confections (toddlers always have those sticky fingers from trying out their independence in feeding)

From Heaven's Kitchen (I think babies are our closest touch, directly from Heaven, and I like to think you can find traces of it, physically, on them)

This is my personal favorite creation...

Thanks, again!

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, I couldn't agree with you more, as I believe children are the most beautiful creation of God and they are what bring sunshine into lives! (big angel hugs) Yay, I dream of being a daddy someday so I can experience this bliss, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet McLean, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

This was a precious write...
There is nothing sweeter than the scents, sounds and touches of our children.

Short and very sweet.

This one will surely stick with us.

Punfully delightful! I hope my glucose level hasn't gone up after reading this one.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

McLean,
Let's see 5 and 7 and 5, right?  In seventeen words, you described some of my fondest memories!  Loved your wording!

And when they grow into teens the only thing sticky are the dishes they leave in the sink...

Very sweet piece.

McLean, I loved the poem, as well as your
interpretation thereof..........

From Heaven's Kitchen (I think babies are our closest touch, directly from Heaven, and I like to think you can find traces of it, physically, on them)

This is just precious!

Thanks everyone...you make my day bright with your kind responses to what I think is my simplest, but most complex, poem!

Absolutely the most inspiring things in my life, my 3 sons!  I'm glad they've brought smiles to you all, too!

Loved this one especially after you enlightened everyone on what inspired the write.  My wife and I are expecting our 3rd child in February.  Can wait to experience the pudgy, sticky little fingers and thank the lord for my gift from heaven.

I'm so happy for your anticipated arrival, ggrn3!  Yay!  Cherrish those little, soft, unspoken wonders of a newborn, as I'm sure you and your wife already know, since this will be your 3rd precious one.
