A Season Unto Me

I play the darkness until it lifts the weight
and eases you to my touch.
Desertion, a thing of the past,
as I light the fires that flame temptation
to these eyes lost in time.

I lay the missing in you,
translate the fragile
to the sidestepping of the pounding
my emotions took, the power of my will
now taking over.

You can't see behind this cover,
the hidden that will eventually
terrace the tomorrows into beds of happiness,
seeding the changes breaking through
to the me in you.

can i borrow a cup of "will", ive seemed to have run out.
writing your way through transistions...
exposing yourself in ways im not brave enough to, as is so in all your poetry..
and this is why i admire you Maureen.

This was a great write I could feel all the emotions played out in your poem.

Stunning, I feel you on the move...
With the courage to embrace the abyss and to read it...:

"I play the darkness until it lifts the weight and eases you to my touch...."

Such truth here, such a letting go, albeit ever so painful ... :

"I lay the missing in you,
translate the fragile ..."

[maybe I am reading in, but this poem strikes deep to the marrow and engenders so much more than your words....] ~C
