The Domino Theory

you stacked
them all
so carefully
in neat rows
my black marks
numbered sins
in each of them
against me
then lined
them up
and watched
me topple

(sigh) I can't decide if this is more upbeat or downbeat, dearest friend, at first it felt sad to me but then I thought of it as repenting and watching all the sins be baptized away! (big angel hugs) Either way this is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

its sad to think people are "lining us up for the fall"..hurts to fall by the hand of someone you love and trust..

h,

I like this.
I wonder, is there more metaphor here than it first appears?
A "Domino" is also "a hooded cape worn by clergymen", "a hooded rob worn with an eye mask at a masquerade" ("the mask itself"), or "one wearing a robe or mask".
Very interesting.

btw,
I have a set of ivory colored dominoes with dots painted in lush colors . . .
Care to play a game sometime?

Don't topple until I lay at your feet, my friend, to cushion your fall. . .
