My own world

0 posted 2006-08-11 08:49 PM

Sing me a song, please just show me how you feel,
Grasp on to the concept that we might have something real.

I'm tired of these games, I'm tired of laying down my cards,
sick of finding out I'm loosing and it's so much more than hearts.

This room is getting smaller, my patience growing thin,
I don't want to wait around when I don't know if I'll be the one to win.

I'm tired of looking out my window at the cloudy gray sky,
and wishing someone was there with me to hold me when i cry.

After all the people I've loved, and all the love i've shone,
I don't understand why I'm sitting here wishing I wasn't alone.

My eyes aren't perfect, and my hairs everywhere all the time,
and I'll admit I'm not perfect, or even close, sometimes things just don't align.

But I'll love with my whole heart and I'll laugh at all your jokes,
I'll understand every word, even the ones you never spoke.

I'll show you the world and show you everything that means so much,
I'll show you how everything can change you with just one touch.

I do know that no matter what, my imperfections are worth the chance,
It's up to you to look at me and see my beauty, it's worth a second glance.

You and I, we could be great, please don't give up on me,
your my last chance to prove there's so much more than you see.

I just want to find my way back to you...where love is strong and feels brand new.

Hi tapper789,

Nice to see you again! That is your poetry, I've been missing reading it...

I thought this was one of your better done poems, in my personal opinion. It was really good at conveying your emotions to the reader, which I always like to see.

"Sing me a song, please just show me how you feel,
Grasp on to the concept that we might have something real."

My favorite part^^ The first line especially, sometimes I feel like if someone doesn't show me how they feel I'll go insane... Yet, in this poem it's a lot of emotions behind one sentence. Very well done poem on your part.

I hope that you will continue to post more in the future, sooner rather than later, and I will be looking forward to reading more! Thanks a ton for sharing

"I pray thee, O God, that I
may be beautiful within."
