I am the reason you can smile now,
But it's her who you smile for
And its me who did this somehow,
My one true fear is you'll love her more.

I left you all alone,
But you seemed so content,
Your feelings, never shown,
Every word I said, I meant,

Are you happy now, where you are,
Is this all picture perfect for you,
Did you forget who once held your heart,
Forget everything that we knew,

Is she everything I am not,
Am I now a picture thrown under your bed,
Or only just a mere thought,
A broken image in your head,

Why can't I let go,
You've done it with such ease,
What will it take to forget,
It's getting harder for me to breathe,

My regrets grow with every memory,
And its my fault your're happy now,
Will my bitterness dsetroy whats left of me?
My biggest mistake is what she has found,

I'd like to say I am happy for you,
But we both know what I really mean,
My bitter words hide pain and truth,
I hope lifes not perfect as it seems,

Just like we once were,
Will you pretend she isn't there,
Just like me, Will you see through her,
Does that at all seem fair?

Or is she why you smile again,
I'm so glad you can sleep at night,
This nightmare will never really end,
And this won't ever seem right,

If my wishes were to come true,
I'd wish all of you away,
And I wish I never hoped,
You'd come back to me someday...

I see me frowning in your eyes...
I see the fear in you...
Where no one ever should be...

This was my favorite stanza out of the whole thing. This was amazing. I loved it. The end really pulled it together. I love the way you put your words together. Great job..

I loved this stanza the most. I think you really captured the emotions in these words. It was a wonderful job on your part.
