do you ever have
things happen to you
that make you so sad
you feel so blue?
but you won't tell
your friends how you feel
because they think its stupid
that you would even care?
they act like it doesn't matter
so you act that way too
but on the inside you're crying
and they don't have a clue?
so you keep up your act
laugh a little louder
keep your head up
but you're getting sadder and sadder?
do you feel,
like no one understands
the way that things work for you
do they tell you,
to just start brand new?
aren't friends supposed to care
to be able to tell you're sad?
to be able to tell you're hurt?
without just getting mad?
this happened to me
i know exactly how you feel
mark my word, listen well:
true friends can tell and they always care.

Hey buttercupbaby,

This poem certainly carries a powerful punch!

Yes, i have been there also, you described it perfectly, yet in doing so you also reminded the reader of how true friends care, and that they really do see, even when you think they do not.

I really liked this poem, and maybe i'm a little bit partial to the subject but, i do believe this is one of the best i've read by you so far...

I hope to see more of your work in the near future! Keep up the good writes

believe me i can symathize i had a very similar situation happen to me with to of people who used to b good friend with me.

okay so i've been gone for 2 weeks and im going back to all these poems to comment. i must say- i absolutely love this poem. It was really good. like the message especially. I've deff. been there and so i can really relate to it. Nice job!!

thank you so much for the replies!! Im glad y'all liked this poem, i don't do much of this kind of poem. Usually i write about love and stuff like that, so im glad that y'all liked this, i didn't know if people would. I hope to read more of y'alls poetry b/c i think each one of y'all is a great writer, too.=)
