You and Him just don't compare!

I thought you were different
I thought you cared
I thought that you will always be there

I guess now, I thought really wrong
I guess you werent really the one
I guess you just thought it was really fun, when I thought it was really love

I'm not with you anymore
I've moved on to someone who I really adore
He's sweet, kind, funny, and nice
All the things you lacked the first time you said goodnight

When he tells me goodbye, I know he's not leaving
He is just waiting to see me later on that evening
When he tells me he loves me, I know he'll be there
I know he'll hug me whenever I'm scared

You were never really there
You never saw what I had to do,
What I had to go through to get over you.

He was with me every step of the way
He taught me how to love again, he taught me how to pray
But most importantly he always told me "It'd be ok!"

Welcome...First of all.

Sometimes what you think a person mayBE. It would be the opposite simply because you do not know where they came from..

Hey i'm actually in the sane situation. O like your poem, cause it really explains me. I'm still trying to forget my last love, but it's not that easy. It's a good thing i have joey by my side, b/c without him i'd still be crying over johnny. I still wish that i could be with him, but i have a guy now. so yeah, Welcome to this site. I hope to read more of your poems.
