* This poem is dedicated to My best friend. Kind of long but tell me what you think....*

I said it didn't matter, and that I didnt' care...
that I was happy for you, to have somebody there.

He might be all you want, everything you need...
just to make you happy, listen to you plead.

I don't want you to think that our friendship is now down...
for I don't believe in what you did, but I'll always be around.

The path that you have chosen, is not the very best...
you said you wouldn't take it, but I see you failed the test.

I know you don't regret it now, but I warned you from the start...
you play this game today, but tomorrow there's aching in your heart.

I watch you from the sidelines, and I see right where your going...
following in the footsteps of these who's regret is now showing.

I don't want you to end up, another statistic teenage girl...
I only wish you could've seen more that just his world.

I'll never truly understand how you could do this to your life...
a heart pieced back together, now breaking with more strife.

This may sound harsh to you, and I might sound really mean...
but I just want you to realize what you should've already seen.

So don't take it wrong, when I say you don't understand...
you could mess up your life, with a baby on your hand.

I hate to be the one to say, but I think it is my place.
to tell you what your screwing up, without crowding all your space.

I'm glad that you are happy, and I hope that you can see...
that no matter what I'm here for you even if you don't believe.

I'll always be your friend, no matter what the cost..
I'll help you when your down, guide you when you're lost.

So I hope you truly understand, that there's more to come, plus strife...
and the day you couldn't say no....

.. was the first of the rest of your life.

Desire nothing except desirelessness. Hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes.
Want nothing & you will have everything.

Is it just me or is this amazing? The ending is very strong if you fallow it to the end. You did well on the rhyming scheme, I am impressed.
