I can feel it on my shoulder,
the burden of your heart...
and though you may not know it,
I can see you fall apart.

All you want to do,
is find someone to hold...
Someone to whisper in your ear,
warm you when you're cold.

I can see your tears,
the ones you only cry alone...
I know what you are feeling,
though others see only what is shown.

You try to hold your balance,
as you look into the eyes of peers...
They all see you smiling,
but they never see your fears.

The night only gets longer,
and the days are no longer here...
So for now I'll let you be,
til next time we meet...goodnight mirror.

Thanks for your reply Jessica.. this is one of my newer pieces. I have a binder with 74 poems that I've written some are ok and some are much better than this one. Thank you again for your time..

yea, everything I write I write about my life so I write mostly when things are going down hill for me but everyonce in a while I can write a bright poem. I'm so glad I found this site because I know people will tell me what they really think about my poetry. I keep all my poems that I write. I never throw any away even if they're not that good because they came from what I was feeling and that's how I view my poetry. so thanks for replying it is greatly appreciated.
