My own world

0 posted 2006-01-15 03:25 PM

Like a simple wave in the wind
I'm fighting for something I can't have.
Living for something that hurts and lies
Living for something that won't last.

Carry me across the threshold, I can't walk,
I'm so tired of loving and loosing,
The shards of what is left have cut my mind
all because I wasn't the one worth choosing.

Bring me back to what my life used to be,
I'm o so great at pretending by now.
I'll live on who I used to be, perfect,
It's been so long, though, I've forgotten how.

The happier times have come and gone,
they used to be so many, now to so few,
Burning desire to live past this world
the desire to find someone who's true.

My heart's decay has long lasted my minds
life's harshness has left so many scars.
Confined to fit a certain perception of the world
when will i be free of the tainted bars.

I feel the same way you do, or at least something close to. You put the emotion together so that most people can relate. This is something that you can be proud of.
