My minds confused,
Heart is gone,
The happest day,
Seems too long,

Blow out the candles,
Open ur gifts,
Make sure u secretly,
Make a wish,

I pretend to smile,
As if the world was right,
As if my life was better,
And I didnt have to fight,

Im 17 today,
But the mirror wouldn’t tell,
Still the same shy, timid person,
Stuck inside her hell,

My friends all forgot,
My parents didn’t care,
My brother’s with his girlfriend,
Hed rather be there,

Im sittin in my cold room,
The sunlight doesn’t see,
My tears on my special day,
Guess thts how 17s gonna be.

Hey! Happy Birthday! I am sitting in my room too, having a piece of cake enjoying your 17th birthday!

Heck I have parties all the time all by myself! Try it, it's fun! Dance with a doorknob LOL.

hey same thing happened to me on my 17 even my sweet 16 so it was supposed to be... exact down to the brother w/ his girlfriend thing lol wish i could say it got better...

That was my birthdays from 14 and up. They got better, but I had to wait until my thirties. I pray you won't have to wait that long.

Great write. It hurts the most when people forget about one day of the year that is truly your own. Hopefully it will get better though. *fingers crossed*

Happy belated birthday. 17 is a tender age when we question whether or not anyone cares about us. Believe me, you're loved! Don't weigh things, just celebrate, like Mysteria says. She's living proof.

Wow that really sucks, especailly since that's how my birthdays have been forever. The only people that care about them are my parents and they try to make a big thing about it, particuarlly because none of my friends even remember.

hey, i'm going through a lot right now and it's birthday on 9th of april and unfortunatly i'll be spending it the same way you are your not alone this world is so dismissive i also wrote somthing about what i'm going through in a different way it's called hello world in forum open forum no.37
