I awake to dream
What's becoming
Then I see
There's something there
Something growing inside of me

I never suspected a change
I never planned for it to happen
What almost didn't happen Prom night
It actually happened

Tears fall
of me not knowing what to do
It's like I'm standing in a dream
Wishing for it not to be true

I never planned this in my future
I only wanted it to be me and you
Now I have to share you with a mistake
And all i ever wanted was to be with you

There was just me
Then there became a you
Now that I am pregnant
What else is there to do?

i know how you feel on this one.... some times mistakes can be the best thing to happen in your life... you have captured these emotions perfectly and you display them in this poem with such clarity that you can visualise it in your own mind.... awesome write...
the answer to the last question 'what else is there to do?' is talk to him about it... show him the poem and explain how your feeling otherwise he will be completely oblivious to evrything....
if you ever want any advice you can email me at chikitybabe@yahoo.com.au

Welcome to Pip!

frightening first post...I hope this isn't true for you, but if it is, I hope you are getting some help from your parents or another trusted adult. If it isn't real, you did an excellent job of getting the emotions across!

Please check your email for a special greeting!

I am kinda going through the same thang you are right now, i didnt plan on having a child at 20 but hey its life, im sorry that you have to go through it too but remember you must think of the child now and rememebr do you want her or him growing up to know that his or her mother thought all him or her was a mistake. take it one day at a time.  you'll get through this

Too late to cry, you're gone... why should I cry, you can't wipe the tears dry, so what am I to do? I need to be with you....-Me

HEy i really like this poem. I'm really sorry that you have a kid now. But then again, I'm not. Teenagers don't really use their heads. I would know, because i am one. But you should of been safe. Hey i'm not trying to be your mom, but teenagers on my point of view are so stupid. But i'm not gonna start a fight here. But don't blame anybody since it was your fault as-well.
