Have you ever questioned why the good guy always finishes last?
He is not the one that caused your heartache in the past.
The nice guy is the one who wants to heal the heart
and he makes you feel that there is hope for a fresh start.

You don't see that and probably never will,
You go back to the one that caused the tears to fill.
The nice guy knows it was bound to happen again,
so when he sees her he knows its her heart he will mend.

It hurts me to no end seeing her constantly hurt,
but there's nothing else I can do besides giving an alert.
Why do the us sensitive guys never get that one chace,
A chance to make her see there is a thing called true romance.

So when it is all said and done I will be in last
Because when it comes to loving me the girls just seem to pass.
Nothing in the world is fair that I know,
But on the inside as her tears dry it causes mine to flow!

chris, i really wish i could explain exacly why we girls do this... but i really dont know i finally realized this myself not too long ago and my "nice guy" is everything i have always wanted... she will come around i promise... as for the poem i liked it but i think the tenses of some words could be changed but other than that it was good... good luck

K loved the poem, as you know, and no offense, completely disagree with the above statement. The girls worth waiting for arn't the ones that being harsh and hard and strong get you, they're the ones that being yourself and sweet and nice will get you. Don't worry :-) nice guys don't always finish last!

this is how my really good friend kyle feels about me. I love this poem it shows how us girls always seem to like the pricks in this world and pass up all the good guys

Yeah, nice guys finish last a lot. Unfortunately, I really dont like this poem. Rhyming is pretty bad, nothing creative is said.

Still, I agree with your ideas.

WELL...I liked your poem, Sweetpoet16m4u04! And I have to agree...but it also goes the same for the girls...unfortunately.

I will probably always finish last with the guys because I am not enough of a 'witch'. Such is life though...

Sorry it took me so long to reply Chris...lol...but, nice guys don't finish last! Like alot of girls see the nice guys as their best friends, but after awhile they realize that they really like the nice guys and not the [insert bad word here] ones. (LOL.) Just give her time and she'll open her eyes and realize that while through all the stuff happening with the "not nice" guy that you've been there the whole time and been patient.
Lol I just bored you very much with my view of this haven't I? Don't you just love it when I ramble on and on? :P

chris.... nice guys dont always finish last... we just take so long realising what it is that we want......
dont loose heart just yet. she will come around when she notices what has been infront of her all along drying her tears, making her feel better when she is down in the dump, and knows all about her...
keep your head high and give her a shock every now and then... be a 'bad boy' a couple of times, get her attention when you want it not wen she wants you to have it... she might get the idea a bit faster...

I LOVED THIS POEM! I am always looking for the nice guy! I geuss its just that all the guys at my school are...we won't go there. N.E. ways, I hope you find that perfect girl who sees the good person inside.

OK, first, i dont necessarily think nice guys finish last...they can usually get the girl in the end. For some reason we do go after the pricks, but im not gnna marry a prick...im gnna marry the good guy. i hope. Its not my fault that whenever i *figuratively* put out a personal ad, all my "Must be Knight in Shining Armor"'s turn out to be "Jerks in cheap chicken suits." One of these days...Second...wasnt crazy about the poem, it was good at the start, n good at the end, but the middle kinda lost me a little. And Third, and possibly the most random, where in MA do u live??? Im in Dorchester...lol
