It wasn't so long ago
where I felt the pain.
It was as if someone was
stabbing me inside out.
I wanted to scream,
but no one would hear me.
I bite my tongue and suffer
hoping I wouldn't have to feel it
anymore.

Soon, it just subsided.

And that's when I realized
that I'd be living with the
nightmares of my past-
the days of anger, depression
aided by suicidal tendencies-
For the rest of my life.

Now my time has come to
fully understand that
that is who I was
and this is who I am.

Wow, that poem helped me realize some things myself. I can't express how much I love this one, and how close to home it hit.
This is definetly going in my library.
Perfect piece of art here.
