Wind Let Loose From My Fingertips

My eyes are as skies of rain ready to fall,
Ready to breath new life into an old earth,
Prepared to slow its fall just for observers
And those who care over the Northern Lights.
Sleek as sharpened bullets with pet names, (Just as     ly too)
Seeking those forever down and on their way out.
How long have I been waiting for first shot of the new war?
Eternity becomes relative when living in the past.

This cold can't stay longer than a welcome extended,
But sure can peek in through the fogged windows.
I'll pull the shades and dim the lights
Keeping dinner fresh for two. (My beloved lonliness, take a seat.)
I've suddenly lots all appetite for love and such painful nonsense...
