Standing In Silence...

These nights have blurred together,
Mixed with these tears I can’t stop.
I know I shouldn’t think of this,
But my mind always goes back to you.

Of what little sleep I get,
My dreams are filled,
By images of you,
But they’re just dreams.

For every thought of you,
Another tear falls,
Because I can’t comfort you,
When you need it most.

It tore my heart out,
To have to walk away,
And leave you sitting there,
With that scared, lost look….

I want to scream,
Until my throat is raw.
I want to cry,
Until I cry myself asleep.

It’s so hard to stay positive,
When everything around me,
Reminds me of you…
And once again - depression surfaces-

And the cycle repeats itself.

Yeah, I know that feeling. It's really hard when everything around you reminds you of the person that hurt you, or depending on the situation, you hurt.
