I know the Art of Love,
though, like art,
love is not always beautiful

Beauty...

I know the Art of Beauty
but, like art,
beauty is seen through the eyes of the soul

colors splashed on the canvas of life,
from the dullest grays to the most vivid brights

contrasting shades
of light and dark
Like Beauty,
And Love,
Life is like Art.

Good poem.
Good point too. I like it when people say such things as you have

BUT! and yes, there is a but...

it isn't about your poem, its about a certain belief I hold.

People are always saying how LOVE is bad. How love can hurt you. blablablabla

i happen to believe that what pains people is the lack of love.
-Unrequited love
-Getting into a fight and feeling unloved
-getting dumped and thus, no love

all sorts of things can lead to a feeling of an unbalanced "love".

But if it truly is love- during those moments of love nothing is bad.
Even if a fight breaks out or something the love is unchanging, what changes are the moods.

So in a way, we can say love is a STATE and a feeling of being unloved is a TRAIT.

am i making sense?

The state of love is perfect, even with its imperfections.

The trait of feeling unloved is horrible and can often lead to an individual mixing the state of love and the trait of feeling unloved.

Ah, its all coming together now lol

anywayz, enough of my rambling.

"love is perfect, even with its imperfections"

an old man passes graciously from this life to the next, leaving behind a host of family and friends that love him so. his passing was a peaceful one, and he died in dreams of happy times...his demise was perfect.no fear, no pain, or regret.

but those he left behind do mourn him...

like art, love is not always beautiful,
but then again, beauty may only be interpreted through the eyes of they that do behold it, through the eyes of that soul.
