Huddling in the dark

The stage is set,
the lights are dimed.
My costumes ready,
shoes neatly tied.
The lines rehearsed,
make-up applied,
hair done in a grand, new fashion.
Now into my character I become.
One last passing glance at the mirror,
and I'm finally ready to go to school.

Andi, another great post!

"Now into my character I become,
and I'm finally ready to go to school."

The above part was my fav.  It's sometimes scary how much people will change themselves just to be accepted by people at school.
Anyways...another great poem by you that is going into my library.

I really like this, the begining built up to the end just perfectly. From one actor to another, I like the statement it makes.
Thanks for sharing.
