Huddling in the dark

The checkered walls are closing in
everyone around me's a pawn
to a chess game that's been going on
for far to long.
I feel it may be my turn next
to fall in to check from the king.
The rooks are coming closer
the knights hold a crooked smile.
I wish I could wake up
I want to escape.
But it's to late
the castles have me cornered.
Check-Mate

Andi, just...wow...beautiful...this poem flowed to good and it was such a great read.
I'm going to add it to my library.
I'm off to read Acting now! Sure it'll be great too!
