From a cradle to a casket

Cry a little longer.
Wait a little more.
Bleed a little stronger.
Work till you are sore.

She always wore three bands around her wrists.
One in case her hair fell down, and two to cover the slits.

She cried herself to sleep that night, a bottle close at hand.
A miracle was all she wanted, a miracle from the damned.

She woke up, never to wake up again.
The blood was thick and deep.
She noticed the bottle that cut into her throat.
She fell right back to sleep.

Cry a little longer.
Wait a little more.
Bleed a little stronger.
Work until you're sore.

She always had the tingle in the back of her throat.
Oh how it longed poked! And how long she would choke.

She hadn't eaten in weeks, and she didn't see a problem.
She just wanted to be perfect, and never be forgotten.

She died that day, of malnutrition.
Found two days later on her bathroom floor.
Her story was put in every newspaper.
So she'll always be remembered, but what for?

Cry a little longer.
Wait a little more.
Bleed a little stronger.
Work till you're sore.

Ladies can cause such extreme devistation.
Extreme devistation, like you've never seen.

But they always make it beautiful.
Such beautiful devistation, like the kind in a dream.

Always trying to be happy.
They will never be satisfied.

Unhappiness is the human condition.
Devistation is the female reaction.

I believe that lovers should be tied together and thrown into the ocean in the worst of weather and left there to drownin their innocence

You've got a really strong poem here. I think it clearly showed the sad way of life some people have and the results of such ways. Keep up the good work.

AWESOME! The last two lines really set this poem off. Great work, this one is going in my library! ~Jess

Wow. Such a strong, powerful piece.
I especially love the repetition of this stanza through the poem...
Cry a little longer.
Wait a little more.
Bleed a little stronger.
Work till you're sore.
Strong message behind the words.
Thanks for sharing.
