      February

Je pense que toute le monde pense que c'est stupide...
I think that everyone thinks its stupid -my
    idea, my dream

Il dit lui m'aime...
    He says he loves me

Days upon days
  Dreams and boredom
Moving, living with one I say I love
and know in my heart I would never marry

       July

I can't handle him anymore
   He yells, calls me names
He didn't even buy me a birthday present
but he bought himself something expensive

So I left,
found someone new to love
Went home

      October

Slumped on the side of my friend's bed
  Disbelief, stupor, fear
      Tears
I'm pregnant
  im 17

Angry parents, frozen parents
  meet the daddy

I make a decision
Life grows within me, and I love the life I bear
I'm going to keep my baby

      November

I felt it move for the first time

Friends touch you baby, feel me, feel you
  i love you

Il est tres difficile, il dit toujours qu'il m'aime...

It is so hard, he always says he loves me...

J'espare...

   I hope

      Spring

Your cry filled my ears
  Daddy cut your cord
     You held my finger

my sweet baby

This is a very beautiful yet difficult situation.

Bringing a baby into this world is the most amazing an experience that could happen to a person. Being a parent is not only the hardest job, but the most important and rewarding one.

No matter whether a baby was a "mistake".... a life is never a mistake. Having the baby was the best decision you could have made and Im sure he/she turned out great

great poem, although I have not yet had a baby of my own, I surely hope to someday.
I also would like to say that I liked how you took us on a trip through time, and how you brought in the process of your mentalality and the surrounding circumstanes of each month.

My question, though, if you dont mind me asking (curiosity kills me sometimes): how's the father? and how's the baby?

Thank you for the read. Surely, I hope to read more.

The father and I just celebrated another year of marriage (more than ten) and he has two sisters - Yesterday I was thinking about how I'm so glad I have him.

Things could have been really different for me had choices been different as a teen.

But I have been so blessed being a part of him growing into a young man.

It's been a tough haul to figure out who I am as a person in the midst of trying to be a good mom, but for the record, writing poetry has been a major part of my healing and figuring out who I am, and learning how to love in my actions - even when I'm totally frustrated

Thanks for having this space to post - I needed to think about this
