Look what you did to me

I wrote this when I got a big burst of emotion, Its not my best piece in the world so please help me if you have any suggestions.

~*Look what you did to me*~

You’re trying to forget me
We both know it’s true
You can’t just push me aside
It simply will not do.
You can’t just take back
All the times I shared with you
All the time I regret
That I wasted upon you
A hopeless cause
All you did was bring me down
Why couldn’t I listen to what my friends said?
”Leah he’s not good enough for you”
I guess I didn’t want the truth
I just wanted to stay with you
The day you dumped me
Was the day I opened my eyes
All the undying love I had for you
And all I could do was cry
Look what you did to me
Open your eyes and see
I lived without your love
Yet you still need me.

I really liked this one, i could really relate to it! great job.

Love is giving him the ability to break your heart...but trusting him enough to know he won't.

Nice poem, I enjoyed it very much. I feel like this is how often my girlfriend would feel if I were to leave her.
