Lost Back Home

I have yet to see
What my feet have felt.
I have yet to breathe
The air I have before left.
The Glittering Plain
Allows no weary
And a hinting pain
Flies off to be buried.

In a land of a thousand islands
Only I have seen all of them.
In a land of a thousand islands,
Only I can’t remember them.

I have yet to see
The-Other-End-Of-Nowhere,
I have yet to plead
An escape from my chimney here.
Oh, mother you tears kill,
Torture this pris’ner to      .
Oh, mother change my will,
My tears will pass the horrid test.

In a land of a thousand islands
Only I have seen all of them.
In a land of a thousand islands,
Only I can’t remember them.

The Isle of Odes
Move my feet without thought,
And I ride the roads
Without a bridle the way I ought.
Waylayers abound
Lying in wait to attack,
The roads here the sounds
And turn to move back.

In a land of a thousand islands
Only I have seen all of them.
In a land of a thousand islands,
Only I can’t remember them.

Oh feet what have we watched?
Oh heart what have you felt?
The words which we’ve caught
Fade away and quietly melt.
