I know it's been a while since I've been on here (and I was never that frequent a poster anyway), but at least for today I'm back on the board.

Here's my expression of some thoughts I was having during a very lonely trip I recently took.

The cold, grayish clouds that float in the sky
Are matching my heart’s gloomy moan.
Even with all the good friends I have
I’m feeling so cold and alone.
I’m hoping that I’ll meet you so soon;
I’m praying we’ll meet up one day.
I’m feeling so empty, so worthless, and small.
Please, won’t you take me away?
I know I’m a nothing, I know all I’m not,
I’ll never deserve all your care.
But with you, my darling, I might be much better--
I wish I could find you out there.

When I’ve found you,
I’ll just be myself
And know you love me
Like you love nobody else.
When I’ve found you,
You’ll take my breath away,
And in your loving eyes
I can do anything.
When I’ve found you,
I want to be so beautiful,
And in your heart I can be.
That’s why love is wonderful.
All our lonely nights are through
When I’ve found you.

I know I’ll never be a perfect man,
But if it’s for you I’ll try my best.
There’s nothing I’ll withhold from you,
I’ll give you all that you request.
I want someone who makes me feel
Beautiful and good and strong.
I want someone who’ll help me stand
And love me even when I’m wrong.
Am I hoping for too much in my life?
Have I set my sights too high?
Will you ever show up as the vision in my dreams,
The answer to the tears that I cry?

When I find you,
My heart will find a home,
And I’ll have the satisfaction
That I won’t need to roam.
When I find you,
The clouds will clear the skies,
And we’ll see the magic
Right before our eyes.
When I find you,
Doors will open wide,
And I will show you
Everything inside.
I can’t wait to see the lovely view
When I find you.

Wow...This is so beautiful. Really, wow. I can relate to this so much, you've descriped what I feel much better than I ever could.

o....I mean wow, I can't even say how much this is like me! I love your poems and this one is my favorite so far! just...wow. Keep it up and I'm gonna keep this if you don't mind!
