in the pouring rain

v.1 sitting here on another cold night
pouring out my heart to you
in the darkness where you can't see
cause i don't want you to know

to scared to be hurt again
been scarred to many times
i've forgotten how to feel love
this side of me i won't show

ch. i'm not sure you would understand
that all i need is you
to many questions that will remain unanswered
because they have to
'cause i think you'd run away
from this side of me

v.2 my dreams are like a get away
where i can control how i feel
and in that light you would love me
accept me for who i am

i disappear behind a candle light
hoping it will make me forget
if only for a second that i have to hide
until i know you can

hk. love me without holding back
and let me do that same
still i cry cause this isn't how i want it
but i'm the one to blame
cause
