Goddess

You cause men to write a thousand songs.
To me, your approach is more attention catching
Than ten thousand gongs.
Your mist soft face,
That could melt the hearts
Of the whole human race.
Your lustrous smile
Could light the darkest caves,
And could shine for miles.
Hair softer than the softest snow
But is the purest brown.
Your brown eyes are darker than
The furthest reach of space,
But have a familiar grace
That steals the breath of every man.
Your simple elegance
And immortal beauty
Engender my insignificance.
But I can still hope,
I still might have a chance,
A chance with a goddess,
A dream too impossible to come true...
I want to hope you just might
Let a mortal like me sit with you.

This poem caused a lot of trouble for me.  It came of wanting to let this girl know how I feel, but then I got shot from both ends, some saying I should do it, some saying I shouldn't.  It's all one big mess and I've still got something burning inside of me.

Those who live by the sword, get shot by those who don't.

Wow, you obviously hold this girl in very high esteem. Great poem and description, and good luck!
