I posted this in Open Poetry 31 orginally... I just wanted to share this with you guys.

The sun is peeking through from behind the curtains,
Caressing our bodies...
Creating an unbelievable warm sensation.
Your arm is draped over me…
I can hear your heart beat gently,
As I put my ear against your chest.
We look so good together,
Lying here together in this bed.
Feeling like this will never end...
You wake up, lean over me and smile.
Good-mornings are exchanged
You move closer
Your lips touch mine
And this moment freezes in time
And that’s fine
Because right now...
All I feel is happiness inside.
Now only if this was real
I would know
how it feels
To be loved.
