Far from where I am going

For "Matt Man"

The Happiest of us all
always with a smile you greeted us
but it seems your grin
didn't reflect all that was
within
I can't relate to you deceiving me
a fan i am of you till death
your words never again filled with meaning
your gone, left us seeing
all you were beleiving
Your pen forever silenced
extinct echoes of your voice
forever haunt me
as i contemplate
your devastating choice
for every man his own i guess
you chose your path in life
many hurt now with hearts so tender
for eternity you'll be remembered
when the rope stopped
so did our lives
upward as your soul flies
a piece of each heart here
dies
your pen forever silenced

this is a song type poem that i wrote for a friend that commited suicide a few weeks ago. hope you like it. oh, please comment.
