Far from where I am going

0 posted 2004-05-01 08:00 PM

From this chair to a bed i fall
my mind blanks, stutters, and stalls
for this day i don't care to remember at all
tears fall from rusted shower heads
to drown me in their flood
disgruntled voices crawl
from behind my head
only to remind me
fade to black and i'm laid out
on my back
heaved down the stairway to heaven
to roll and roll to my basement
head hurts like nothing i've ever felt
must have hit it on something
but i really can't tell
my shirt is now plagued
with some rancid smell
atrocities seen through a
magnifying glass makes me want
to scream like a mute,
... nothing
inevitability thrown into
my eyes just so my brain
can comprehend.
free fall through the floor
to a cot hopefully
not to awake
because i really dont
feel as if
i can take
the medicine that
the world so eagerly
forces down my throat

nice use of muffin
