The world is being covered by a wall-to-wal-mart carpet and no one seems to care because on TV they can see Martha Stewart’s trial on the television set they bought at wal-mart because of every day low health care, benefits, working hours, labor unions, prices that they jack up as soon as they’ve wiped out the small businesses. The people keep wearing the clothes they buy directly from the sweat shop slave labor and our president encourages this behavior, because his best friend is the guy on the top, reaping the benefits while the children of his employees goes straight into welfare. Wal-mart, where you’ll always be greeted with a forced smile, where you’re sure to find the things you want for the lowest, the only, prices in town, where the shirts are made in bolivia, china, uganda, and sold in the grand old US of a selfish nation, land of the greed and home of the afraid for their children being raised in the systems they’ve created, I’m tired of being hated because I like breasts and they like me, and the guy who’s in charge has decided that rather than keep the foundations of this nation: religious freedom, we’ll continue to discriminate based on Matthew, Mark, Luke and/or John, four MEN who died hundreds of years ago and I am the only one who seeks to ask "why?"

because Dr. Laura tells me I am a "biological error" and acts towards others evoke terror in my mind I can’t justify why the people can’t accept that a constitutional amendment to outlaw the benefits of marriage, of next of kin, of health care, to these thousands of people that are branded by ‘sin’ that has opened their eyes past the faith and the lies that lead others like sheep into pastures of hate and discrimination of anyone who practices mutual masturbation. I’d like to say I’m proud to call this my nation but the reasons to be proud are the reasons I complain about: the nuclear weapons, the so-called-religious freedom, the racism-free land of white supremacy.

um....yea....I didn't really get it either. I don't mean to be mean, but is this a poem? Shouldn't this go under the feelings forum? If this IS a poem, I'm really sorry.

no need to be sorry. you're probably right, it belongs under a different forum. it's a poem, just not spaced out into different lines.

who cares? post it where you want to post it...i've posted rants before, and i must say..it feels damn good.  at first i was kind of annoyed because you were ripping on wal mart n i was like 'hey! i like wal mart!" n i thought that's all the poem was gonna be about...but i think it's cool that you added all the other stuff in.  the breast line was my favorite (not for any perverted reasons, it just was a cool way to say yo'ure gay...at least that's what i got out of it)  and all i can say is rock on sista!
