Chalk marks along the asphalt,
and fading marks on my wrists.
Though the sun is a muted glow, I sit here with my eyes barely open.
Somehow in this secluded state, I find myself.
find serenity in this little piece of me.
Starting from scratch.
Getting to know this girl again.
Lost for so long.
Morphed spontaneously.
The spots once bluring my vision vanish, and things seem almost clear for the first time.
I tug on my tattered sleeves,
covering up my brittle finger tips.
Hands that have brushed upon a variety of landscapes.
I am coming up from the thick green waters.
but its a long ride.
A descent to my dark spot, a corner I reserve for the sorting of these things.
Places I've been seem to close to dismiss.
Yet, I count to myself under my breath,
a quiet preperation,
a secret dedication to the freeness of this spontaneous development.
