Its been quite a while since i have been here so i figured i would start with the first one i ever wrote.

Your Touch

One touch and I was gone
You had broken through all my walls,
My barriers and defenses that kept my heart from knowing joy.
With that touch you changed my life and all that I would become.

That which I worked so hard to build suddenly came crashing down

I was a dead man among the living knowing neither love nor hate.
I as I walked my path in loneliness I thought I knew my fate.
But you changed all that with one touch of your hand.

As people sought to change what I was I put up a front
I would turn on those who came to close

I never knew what life was like, I never even cared.
But then you came along and your touch you shared.
The chains about my soul were shattered

I can now walk among the living
Now I may begin to live, to love, to feel again
All because of that one touch

That was absolutely great.optimism is the way to enjoy life.its interseting how we humans can shut life out even though we're in it.but its a big relief when that touch is felt and the dark walls fall flat.love ur poem!

Jesus died that you might live...accept that and u shall be saved.

so beautiful and heartfelt...I know exactly this feeling, I felt is myself earlier this year and although that man has just left my life, I still am thankfull for that first beautiful touch that broke my barriers and taught me to breathe, thank you for reminding me of that.
