Thunder booms around my heart
And lightning flashes blaze.
Troubles can erupt quite quickly
And I’m left caught in a daze.
But as the pouring rain comes falling down
I still have a place that’s warm.
She’ll always break my darkened skies
Even in her thunderstorm.

Even in her raging storm
She will stand strongly for me.
When a tempest hits my soul
I know where my rock will be.
And if I ever really need her
She’ll remove those clouds that swarm.
She’ll always break my darkened skies
Even in her thunderstorm.

I don’t deserve her precious love
And the good to me she’s shown.
As long as she is on this earth
I’ll never be alone.
In return for her I’ll do my best
Though myself I must reform.
It’s worth it for her sake
She even loves me in her storm.

Even in her raging storm
She’s a shelter just for me.
She’s a healer of my soul
When she touches tenderly.
If sorrows weigh upon me
She’ll remove the tears that form.
And she’ll always break my darkened skies
Even in her thunderstorm.
