Stellar Prayer

Oh stars, go away for a night.
Quit reminding me of my pain.
Let me set my mind aright.
Don't make me love her again.

Oh stars, stars, you make us feel so insignificant.
Infinitesimal spects of life to your power and majesty.
But I could care less of those specs too distant.
Because you're less significant than her to me.

Why do I declare these things to the heavens and stars,
While another is declaring same things to her?
On a dark and stary night, not so afar.
While my unimportance I ponder.

Stars, be with me tonight.
Comfort me with your light.
Send my heart to her,
That my love cross her sight...

Those who live by the sword, get shot by those who don't.

This is so beautiful. Very good imagery. I especially love the last stanza.
I can relate to this so well.
Thanks for sharing.

WinterWren-
Counting stars wishing I was ok,
Crashing down was my biggest mistake.
