dana my darling
im writing to you
to thank you for your support
with helping me through
when i feel i cant get up
and ive dug the whole too deep
to hear your words of wonder
builds a staircase thats not too steep
and with each smile, each hug
and all the joy you bring to me
i gain the strength to take another step
to climb out of this misery
and i know that one day
i'll be able to reach the top
and i'll have you to thank for it
when this depression comes to a stop
and anytime i feel likle dying
anytime i want to hide
i know that i'll get through it
with you by my side

wow, i know where you're coming from. from time to time i begin to feel a little depressed about life. but, i've never been really depressed, to a state of hurting myself or others. when i get down, i've got my friend matt to pull me through, just like you have dana. some parts of the poem seem forced, but, in the end, it flows together nicely.
