We’re doing all right now, I won’t try to deny that But just wait until it’s hard, You’ll see where my heart’s at. I’ll be your steady rock Until you need to lean on me. When hard times come around, I’ll turn around and flee. There’s bigger fish for me to catch, But you’re the best I think I’ll get. Don’t get secure, though, where you’re at I might leave after a bit. I know you think our love is strong, And maybe for now you‘re right. But if a better girl yet comes along, I’ll leave without a fight. I never said, “For the long run,” So I can run away. If I get too bored, that’s what I’ll take And leave you here one day. I know you thought that I’d be sweet, But you were a little too naïve. When the going gets too tough for me, Then that’s my cue to leave. If I’m going to break your heart one day, It might as well be soon. You’ll get over me more quickly then And sing a different tune. I’ll crush your heart as best I can So your feelings won’t live on. And after that, won’t you be glad To know I’m finally gone? |

I forgot to save this to my library thangy. oh, and yah, i really love this poem, in a way it's funny. Cuz a lot of guys... and i guess girls are like that. Anyway, amazing write. I want a relationship i can finally sink my teeth into.~ Alexander Sterling |
