Fire's le (Ignorant Bliss)

If I fear for you tonight
Will you live in quiet relief?
Will you understand the height
That holds you down carefully?

If I lived in heaven with you
Would tiome be another lie?
Would you have room to go through
With the plans drawn long before?

I will write this down at last,
Thoughts of broken memories,
and pink Roses lost in the past
With petals turned to moonlit ash.

Stop expecting slow change
For my footprints will soon fade.
They'll wash away in the rain
That comes with tomorrow, comes with sorrow.

Forgive my falling to the ground
but I only want to keep clean your feet.
You can walk and keep me pressed down,
And smile towards your skyward face.

Cross your fingers when we kiss
So it never means a thing to you,
So you can still be in "ignorant bliss",
Waiting for another to be drawn to dark corners.

A dancing bonfire burns away
With plumes more brilliant than a peacocks.
Those are what my letters mean today:
The cheapest kind of kindling there is.

Won;t you just throw me in too?
Let me enter another mental womb,
So I can emerge cold and blue
With eyes seeing everything for the first time.

Kiss my creased forehead softly now
And leave a y stain as my beauty mark.
It grows while i furrow my brow,
Bleeds into my eyes to bring silent blindness.

I smell the ashes so clear,
It's a perfume that you love.
...Burning my lungs with fear...
And I'm puking sulfur into the dirt again.

for some reason i got the impression that in this poem you didnt know what you were talking about. maybe its just me. but i dunno. it was good, and i got the message, but i dont know. sometimes when i write my poems i never really get what i mean, and i have this feeling about that one, even though i didnt write it, i just felt that there was a loss of connection some how. i dunno. does that make sense? anyways, it was good. whens that song going out on cd? haha. keep up the good work!
