Written for a writing prompt:  Unanswerable questions.

how does she make me feel this way?

suffocated by
my clichéd feelings
and unsaid words.
the night her eyes
reflected in mine,
replays and replays,
inside my head
like a tape of
my childhood.
love failures from the past
become insignificant
and are forgotten;
when she smiles,
i am new.

a confused tear slides
over smiling lips—
missing and longing,
remembering and hoping.

Umm, thanks guys.

For some reason this one was hard to write.  I find it almost impossible to write poems about love without being cliched.  The feelings have all been said.

Thanks for comments though

That what makes it so fun. it is so challenging, when ever I write about "love" it always comes out in some weird twisted comparision.
Its a tough one.
I liked this though.
