She listens to the gossip.
About her no doubt.
She drifts off into her own little world,
not caring or paying attention to the stares,
or the whispers.
She doesnt care anymore,
It is just another day,
just another nightmare,
just another rumor added to the rumor mill.
Her only friend is the darkness.
the only place she belongs.
The only place that accepts her.
the only place she isnt alone.

~Vampire kisses :evil

This one is short, but i like it.

This is expressed very well.
And I know the feeling.
needing to hide in the darkness.

The only part I would suggest changing is this line:
just another rumor added to the rumor mill.
Just because it is redundant. maybe change rumor, to a different word, the first time you use it.
But I think I'm just nit picking, cause I can't find anything I dislike that much.
