In an upside-down garden

Blink/
take a breath/take a small step

backward where you wish it all away.
where you fall five feet just to remember.
to a place where time never existed.
It was always just you,
and me.

Do you remember?

Inhale/
close your eyes/close your window

shut the world out and leave me in.
I want a trap door to your soul.
A way to find you when the world is gone.
There will always be a place,
and time.

Think/
small crazy thoughts/small crazy dreams

I'm drempt away by you, for you.
and you haunt me, you possess me.
You share my world with me.
It will always be just you,
with me.

Speak/
let your lips shake/let your voice escape

Undo the lock and let everything fly.
Unveil the truth and the lies, the feelings.
Let everything fall out and spread around.
And I will always be
your echo.

Wow. "and I will always be your echo"
the ending rocked.

Okay, now *that* is free verse like it's supposed to be.

I love it.
