The sun was bright, the melting snow
upon my cheek I thought was tears.
But crying wasn't what he liked -
what my love, my Robin liked -
so with strength that wasn't mine
I scorned my every fear.
The night was dark, but I was real
when he crept to my windowsill
and we softly crept away -
with my love I crept away -
to be back before hint of day
the night the angels killed.
We went walking later on
when all the world was green and light,
and they saw the bones -
the bones, my love -
they laughed so when I told them of
my fair child of night.
I still hear your tapping
each night upon my windowsill
and I wipe away the tears -
my love, you wipe away my tears -
and your quiet singing fills my ears
when the wind is still.
My love, my dearest Robin mine,
why was it you they chose?
I will not weep for you today -
my love would wipe the tears away -
but now I'm left in blinding day
with white bones in the snow.

Wow. This is very sweet, and sad. I'm sorry for your loss, and remember its always ok to cry.

This is without a doubt one of the most skillfully crafted poems I've ever read.
The last part...wow.
The way you write...its beautiful.
Please, keep posting.
