in the pouring rain

0 posted 2004-02-14 03:37 PM

v.1
it feels like i'm dying when i look in the mirror
and in my eyes you can see i'm wishing i wasn't here
because i can't take this kind of pain everyday..
and i've tried everything i can to stay..

chorus
but that look in your eyes i'll never forget
maybe one day i won't regret
everything i have ever done..
and maybe one day i'll have won...
but until that time i'm still here alone
watching the rain through the window...

v.2
i'll hold my head up and try not to cry
even though i feel like dying
the tears will come but only late at night..
and when i see the broken glass i won't give a fight

hook
i'm sick of being here and trying to please everyone
i cannot be me
so i have to
i'm leaving everything....
and running into the rain

(chorus)

end
one day.....one day...you'll understand...why i was watching the rain.......

i'm sitting in the dark....waiting...
waiting for you to see me.

I read these lyrics earlier on today, but I didn't get the chance to make a comment as I had to go out. But the words have really stuck in my head all day.
This would definitely make an exceptionally good, cool, original song. I only wish I could write such good lyrics.. Well done. I loved this, and I don't feel that way about many pieces of writing on here.

Very moving, I often turn to the rain myself when going through troubled times so this piece hit very close to home, beautifully written.

I love the rain and used to watch it through the window of my grandparent's house when I was little, so I can totally relate to this! Once again, great write!

The rain...a beautiful subject, that can mean almost anything you want it to.

I loved reading this. It was a very emotional peice, and i loved the way i could hear the music, and the song in my head...

Amazing write.
