~Father~
I look at you into your dark brown eyes,
and phisically i see me.
I look exactly like you,
but that you do not see!
Everytime i visit,
you act like i'm not there.
You dont realize how much it hurts,
to think that you don't care.
There's four of us,
but you only see three.
I was your big mistake in life,
I wasn't meant to be.
To you i'm just a burden,
A pain in the back.
You have never been there,
In my times of need.
Sometimes you hurt me so bad,
I make myself bleed!
I wish that you could see,
the pain you inflict me,
I wonder if you'd care?!?
The answer to this question,
scares me indeed,
Thats why this poem,
you will never read!

Wow...im sorry to hear that you have this relationship with your father. Maybe you need to let him know how you feel...it could make you feel better and maybe open his eyes a bit. Wonderful piece...your feelings and emotions were well seen through your words...:

well good poem by expressing ur feelings..sometimes in life u would get to points that can kill u forever..but u have to keep trying until u reach the point u wanted and when u reach it stay focus and becareful...dont put it down becuase NO-MATTER HOW HARD UR DAD COULD BE ,HE IS STILL UR FATHER EVEN IF HE TRIED TO KILL U REMEMBER he will alwayz alwayz love u....by the way ur not the only 1 but give it ur heart and ur mind and u will successed .just take my advice....may god bring u more and get u closer with people u love...

I have to disagree with you palesitne,,,,,,
My mother dumped me when I was 8 years old, and has done very little to be in my life since,,,,,I am now 32 years old, and know for a fact, she does not love me.
Just because someone has a child , does not mean they have to love that child,,,,,the popular saying,,,,"anyone can be a father (or mother) it takes a special person to be a daddy (mommy)
Kissa~Rachelle,,,,,its not easy, but, learn to love yourself,,,,anothers opinion of you, should not lead to such deep pain,,,,there is love in the world to find,,,,keeping a cocoon around yourself, will make it take a lifetime to find,,,,,
Some wrap themselves so deep in the pain caused by parents,,,that they dont feel whats really out there for them for years.
I'm not saying that,we, whom have been hurt by parents, should blame all on them,,,,but, quite the oppisite,,,don't let it get you so far down,,,,,strive for the best,,,you deserve no less

That's so sad hun....I'm sorry you have this relationship....sometimes people don't care and there's nothing we can do....I don't know what else to say except I'm sorry you have to go through this....

I know what it's like. I can't say I've ever had a good relationship with my dad. It wavers a bit on my mood....sometimes I wish we were closer, but more often than not, I don't really care. Guess you just kind of get numb to it eventually...

Kissa....I love this poem. If i were you I would show your dad. I wrote a sad poem about my father and I let him read it and now after 18 years he is finally acting like a father. Trust me and try it.

i like this poem it really is touching and sad, i know what your going through... i never had a good relationship with my dad, my sister and brother did but not me, i dont even like to hug him b/c i feel uncomfortable.. although i wish i didnt, and i love him, its just he cant understand.. he was an alcoholic, but now he is just really sick, and i cant even hold a real 2 min conversation with him so to me sumtimes i feel like there is no point in trying so i jus let it ride but i think you should show him the poem, b/c whenever my mother and me would fight and yell well i wrote a poem and read it to her and it helped a lot. the scars may never go away, but at least try
