I wrote this several years ago for a close relative. I never did a fourth verse though, which is a bit of a drag... I sort of regret not doing one now.

Pain stings my eyes
Ripped, broken from you
Like a thousand goodbyes..
My wasted love, true.

I cry out, Mother,
In hoping and pain
I cling to my covers,
Telling myself, you're back again.

Father's hands are rough,
The nightmarish days long.
I'm still acting tough
Because Mother was strong.

It's not good to have any regrets... finish this off, so it is complete.
Otherwise, it is a good write, and I can't wait to see the last stanza.

Cause in my dreams it's always there
The evil face that twists my mind
And brings me to despair.
