experience gained, innosence lost

come and speak to me so i
can ignore your pretty face.
i can see your life
and the things you waste.

work on your teenage marraige
but with thrice the worry of a normal one.
race on in your relational carraige,
get past another day with a falling sun.
set yourselves up for early divorce
before the sacred vows have been made.
infedelity and fidelity turns your voice hoarse,
but thats the smallest price you've paid.
your false start on this line
was before the sound of the gunshot,
see, he turns the crime,
pulls the trigger, never thinks and never stops.
your pubescent spouse
has lost all of thin his self control,
but you like the lonely house,
and the two of you forget s costly toll.
do you like the feeling
and the way he smooths you to the ground?
so swift, i'd call it stealing,
you cant get back what you've given up now.

come speak to me so i
can study your gaunt face.
i pity your empty eyes
and the innosence you waste.

now im alone, but not lonely like before

I agree....we gain experience at the cost of innocence....that's just the way the world works....nice thoughts!

Dreams last for so long, even after you're gone...

i thought about this poem for a while. i was pregnant once upon a time and it i didnt go through with it. however i feel like a moron for my earlier comment. haha. anyways. your friend must of had it rough. i like this poem a lot, and it truly does make you think. experience is all about life, and if you live your life with no trouble or heartache, then why live? you dont fully live life to the fullest, each lesson teaches something equally as important, and i would just like to say thanks.
